NEW YORK, August 22.

The smoking-room of the great Cunard liner Mauritania was the scene of continuous gambling during the last voyage from Liverpool. Tne games played were baccarat and ba*nker. Men who played declare that as much as £100,000 changed hands during the trip. Mr. Jay O'Brien, of New York, won more than £5000 on several occasions.
