The following Gisborne matters were dealt with at a ■ meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board at Napier yesterday: — Transfer: G. V. Shiith to Wm. Smith, junr., section 76a, Nuhaka North. James b'Hara : applied to have his interest forfeited lii section 4, Otoko village, for non-residence' and the fact that there were no Improvements effected.— To be forfeited. — The proprietor of ,the Okitu .butter factory wrote surrendering the*rlease of section 9, block 15, Ngatapa settlement.— Accepted. s ".-■■. * - A. S. Caulton wrrbte regarding the proposed cancellation of his right to acquire the freehold of sections 13a and 13b, block 2, Motu.— Cancellation' approved.. . Alex. Halket applied to surrender the license of section 8, block 15, Motu.—Accepted. \ " v The Commissioner of Crown Lands proposed the reduction! ot the value of improvements .on section 4, block 9, Ngatapa, lately held, by McDermott and Abberton.— To be offered for selection. " Applications were received from Wm. B. Kennedy and, Sanr F. Bond for the lease of 35 • acres and^ accommodationhouse on section '4', block 9, Ngatapa: — Declined,- as it had already been decided to offer: the land; for, selection under the optional system. , . r The application ,of Mrs J. Muir for section 28, block. 5, Turanganui, was approved. t A miscellaneous license to Mr P. McLoughlin of section 7, block 15, Waikohu, 524 acres, was approved. Applications to acquire the freehold apprpved included the following:— ' -, Executors of L. E. Cotterill's estate, section 1, block .14, Hikurangi,' 2000 acres. A. K.
