BELFAST PEOPLE SCARED.
LONDON, June 7. The Customs authorities at Belfast havo detained 12 cases of rifles, with bayonets, which wero landed as part of a general cargo from Manchester. The arm 3 were labelled, "Electrical plant," and the cases contained about 2000 weaoons. Dublin Castle, has ordered the detention of the goods, and it is not expected that there will bo any claim for them now. that their, nature has been disclosed. , The possibility of riots m Belfast is responsible for the numerous inquiries that are now/ being made concerning the rate.-* of insurance to cover the risk of damage to property. Five shillings per cent, is the rate quoted for private house.-*. ,
