CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Regarding the. July Unity Conference,, Mr R. Semple, organiser of the Federation of Labor, informed a reporter that matters Avere looking prosperous. The majority of the trades unions of the Dominion had agreed to be represented, and so far the credentials of over -CO delegates had been returned. He anticipated that Avhen the conference met there would be close on 300 delegates, representing the entire trades union movement of the Dominion. The conference Avould be Avithout doubt the biggest Labor Congress ever held in New Zealand.
"We have, every reason to believe," he added, "that the Conference Avili, without very much difficulty, arrive at a common understanding in regard to united political and industrial action."
