A. mild sensation was caused at Petone yesterday, Avhen a wedding which Avas timed to take place at 2.50 A\-as brought to a sudden stop oAving to the bridegroom failing to put in an appearance. All the guests had assembled, and were Avith the bride awaiting the groom's appearance. As quarter- hour's sped by, however, and became halves and wholes, it Avas recognised that a comedy had become a tragedy, and the arrangements were cancelled.
