SECRET LIQUOR SUPPLY.
AN AAIEIUCAN FARM MYSTERY. NEW YORK. May 28. Ihe discovery on a farm at Bonner Springs, Kansas, of a cistern filled with hard cider has solved a mystery that has been baffling thei local' police authorities for more than a year. There had been frequent complaints of many men and boys living in' "the vicinity of the fartn having been ruined by strong drink, .but the utmost vigilance failed to locate the source of their liquor supply. l Ths mystery was solved only when one of the District Attorney's officers, disguised as a laborer, got ajob on- the farm, and was let into the secret. Hard, or fermented, cider contains from 2 to 7 or 8 per cent, of alcohol.
