ATLANTIC ARRANGEMENTS.

WELLINUTOJ^ -this, day, According to the Canadian Post-master-General's announcement New Zealand and Australia will benefit from the outting of Atlantic cable rates by utilising the Poulsen Company's wireless system. The "post office authorities have communicated with the manager of the Pacific Cable Board, asking for information, because it all depends on the Board's connection \v ; ith the scheme whether New Zealand will reap any benefit. As for the possibility of carrying on a commercial service across the Atlantic, the reliability of this is not doubted. The experience of New Zealand, with its comparatively low-powered plants, has been very satisfactory. No difficulty has been experienced in\keeping m touch with Australia. Atmospherio changes, cause variation m the rano-e, but the New Zealand stations have got good results, even m daylight. .
