SQUADRON ORDERS.

The following orders have, been issued by Captain C. J. Hamilton, commanding "A" Squadron and To Karaka Troop of "D" Squadron Oth (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles:— Promotion's, etc., of officers (N.Z. Gazette, 27th March, 1913): Second Lieutenant 11. S. P. McLornon to bo lieutenant, dated 20th February, 1913; Second Lieutenant W. L. Colfiman is aibsorbed into the establishment, vice McLernon promoted, dated Ist February.-; tP I3 - ' Casual camp: The casual camp of the Wellington Mounted Brigade will be held at Orlngt from 10th to 3ist May, 1913. Special squadron order m connection therewith has been issued to those concorned. Training: A list of those who have still to undergo the training set opposite their name's m order to become efficient for the current year ending 31st inst. is given. Compulsory pnrades for May: "A" Squadron on Saturday, nth May, at Mr Henry White's, "Acton," Whataupoko— i The troops will muster as under at 2.30 p.m. sharp: Nos. 1 and 2 Troops, at Bell"s store, Ormond road; No. 3 Troop, at saleyards; No. 4 Troop, at Makauri store corner. To Karaka Troop of "D" Squadron, at Puha on Thursday, 22nd May, 1913, at 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. Programme: outposts. Attack practice with ball. Orders for dress: Swords and spuVs must be worn on all parades; the carrying of hunting crops on parades is forbidden; sergeants must carry, rifles. Orderly officers and non-commissioned officers: For the montji of May— Lieut. Coleman, Sergt. Bright. Lance-Cprporal Cramp. Next of duty (June)— Lieut2riant Spragg, Corporal Fromm, Lance-Corporal Ambridge.
