AIRMAN DROWNED.
LUGANO, March 19. The aviator Pietro Primaves, of Lugano, left Milan at four o'clock this afternoon, and arrived over Lake Lugano" at 5.25 p.m. He steered his course towards a suitable landing place, but when near Cavallino the machine suddenly fell into the water from a height of 900 ft., and disappeared m a few seconds. The occupants of a small boat which happened to be near picked up some fragments of the aeroplane floating on the water, but there was no trace of the aviator. The search for the body is rendered difficult by the depth of the lake, which is considerable at the spot where the accident ocourred. FATAL VOLPLANE. ROME, March 19. A telegram received from Somma, Lombardy, states that while Captain Moreno, was executing a volplane m an aeroplane he fell from a height of over COQft., and was killed on the spot.
