MARINE DISASTER.
SEVEN MEN DROWNED.
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) BERLIN, May 6. Whilst raising the torpedo destroyer, which sank on March 5, the salvage steamer capsized m a gale and seven of her crew were drowned.
The torpedo boat referred to was rammed and sunk). A very high sea was ■running, and; the night was dark. The torpedo boats and destroyers attempted to break the line of battleships and cruisers, and when the operation ended, destroyer Sl7B, with lights masked, came behind the Heliogoland, -and ther Dune Yorck rammed her behind the aft funnel. The vessel heeled over, and sank m two minutes. Most of the crew were below when the accident occurred. The Duno Yorck rescued the doctor and an engineer and 15 others with great difficulty owing to the storm. Two officers and 68 petty officers and men were drowned. The commander was on leave, and was not aboard.
