There were 1800 spectators at the match at Christchurch, an-l the collection; amounted to '£20 odd. Soccer' is taking on here very fast now. They have four fine grounds m the city, besides the country grounds. The Canterbury team is- a .splendid combination, and will take a lot of beating for the shield.
