Foster, informed a representative 01 the Dominion that the conference. ,was unanimously, regarded as having been a complete success. The object or the conference was to consider and arrive at the best means of producing and presenting on the London market, New Zealand frozen meat. Reports were road dealing with the negotiations entered into and the arrangements m London by Dr Robinson, Home representative of the Associated Companies of the North Island, and the companies unanimously approved of all that had been done and arranged by the London representative and also approved of the project of the Port of London Authority m respect of the provision of the most complete facilities at the Albert Docks for the handling of meat without damage. It was stated that Dr Robinson had been invited by the committee of the Port of Londpn Authority to give assistance m regard to. the arrangement of details of the scheme. ' Previous to the meeting of representatives of the Boards of Directors of the various freezing companies a conference of the oper'ativ© officers (engineers^ -worlds managers,' etc.) of ' the respective companies was held to' consider the possibilities of betterment of 'the position at this end. The conference dealt very exhaustively with the methods followed,' pnU made numei'ous recommendations for dealing with meat m and from the works, and to and m the ships.
