♦ .- • (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. As much interest is .centred around the possibility of the Government dealing with the land question this session, a- Star reporter yesterday asksed. the Prime Minister if it were intended to bringdown a Land Bill of any nature this year. "Well, there will be legislation dealing with land this session, but I do not think we shall have time this *e«tion to deal with the whole question, as it is one about which there is considerable difference of opinion, and which would certainly cause a long debate, but legislative measures affecting tho land will be brought down. That is *us much as I can tell you at present," replied the Premier. ' " A rumor is already m calculation that the Government intends at an early date to tackle the big estates, on the graduated land tax system, and it is stated m some quarters that m order not to hamper the Government, soire of its followers, who are themselves interested m extensive landed estates, have signified their intention to support tlve pro posals that are to be. brought down.
