!■»» (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Lust i Despite recent prosecutions burglars .•ire apparently still operating- m Auckland. The premises of Mr F. McMenemy, tobacconist and hairdresser, of Mrnnd Arcade, were entered some tirh? during Saturday night, and articles to the value of about £4 were stolen. The proprietor left the premises on Saturday night., and yesterday morning, when he visited them., he found the shop m great disorder, and a number of packets of cigarettes to the value of about £3 and hair-cutting machines valued at £1 missing. The thieves gained entrance through a. window at the side of the shop, and left muddy foot-marks clearly defined a.'l over the counter. This is the second time within the past, fortnight that Mi- McMenemy's premises have been broken into, cigarettes comprising the major portion of the haul on each > occasion.
