FEDERATION OF LABOR.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Federation of Labor Conference was continued yesterday. Mr P. ('. ' Webb presided. The official report, of the proceedings is as under : It was decided to receive a deputation from the Labor party at 11 o'clock on Saturday morning, and to hear a deputation from the New 2ealaiid Socialist, party at' 2 o'clock this afternoon. Tlie board of directors of the Maoriland Worker pre- J sented a report and audited balancesheet, which were adopted. Both were considered eminently satisfactory. In connection with the troubles at Waihi j and Reef ton, the following' resolution was carried: "That this conference of; delegates assembled sends fraternal greetings to Waihi, and Reefton comrades, and congratulates --them upon their exhibition of class solidarity, and assures them of the loyalty of (he organisation to them - iii their time of trial •with opposing forces, and urges upon them to stand firm whilst, tho question ] is being dealt with by the organisation." j Tho following resolution was carried enthusiastically : "That this conference of the New Zetland Federation of Labor expresses its disapproval of the action of the British Government m gaoling Tom Mann for rightly calling upon British soldiero to refrain from tiring upon British workmen. To Tom Munn ' we extend our heartiest congratulations for his continued fearless advocacy of '.revolutionary working class principles. The sentiment expressed by Tom Mann m the article leading to his arrest meets with our entire approval." 'lhe conference yes resumed this morning-. _^ i
