; ROME, March 6, Eight officers were killed and -13 wounded at Derna. Fifty-two men were killed,, and 29 were severely and 135 slightly wounded. The Eritrean battalion, after a six hours' engagement, repelled the Arabs near Birel.
The Arabs lost 100 /"killed, and the battalion ' lost nine *■ killed and 28 wounded.
