BELLICOSE MEXICO.
REBELS NEAR JAUREZ
EL PASO (Texas), Feb. 28. The rebels are ready to attack Jaurez. on the opposite side of the Rio Grande froniil'here, and refugees are flying across the river to the American side. An attempt is being made by the rebels to arouse an anti-American sentiment. Proclamations have been seized blaming President Taft for the trouble m Mexico. Three thousand rebels, who are camped 12 miles from Jaurez, were to have advanced on the town on Sunday. Reinforcements of American troops are being rushed to the border. The situation is considered to be critical.

Special trains conveying 1500 L*nited State troops, passed through here on the way to El Paso. There are 2000 more troops following. It is stated that these troops are being sent to the Mexican bordertabe m readiness to cross the Rio GrancfWand put a stop to the trouble at Jaurez and other Mexican towns containing a large number of American residents.
