ECHO OF THIRD TEST.
(Received January 19, 10.50 a.m.) f SYDNEY, January 19. In reference to the cable during the Adelaide test match stating that Douglas ques- ; tioned the propriety of Kelleway and Hor . dern using resin on their finger^ when bowling, considering it to be unfair to employ any artificial aid, it is pointed out that wicket-keepers used a sticky preparation on their gloves. A reference to the rules of cricket threw no light on the subject, which was ' discussed without any feeling! The Thursday championship matches were continued at Victoria Domain 3'esterday in anything but ideal cricketing weather. The com i peting teams were Y.M.C.A. v. United A and Alhiunbra v. United B, and the results of the day's play are appended: — :, UNITED A v. Y.M.C.A'.
