COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Mr H. White waited upon the Cook County Council at its meeting to-day, objecting to the proposed Muriwai road loan, 011 -the ground- that he did not approve of the area included in the special area. — Cr Williams explained the endeavor that had been made to obtain a perfectly fair rating area, and there were only three objectors. — The Council proceeded to discuss the objection.- The subject was discussed at length, and the Council decided by five votes to four that the petition should go forward. A poll was authorised to be taken re Maraetaha- bridge. An adjustment of the boundary with Waikohu County of a .minor .nature (as agred to) was confirmed.
