The "Esmeralda" programme was shown for the \kst time at His Majesty's Theatre las^ .night, "when jthere -was a good attendance. A 1 change' \vill bo submitted this evening, which should find favor with all lovers of good drama. The staY film.is "A. Roman Tragedy," which powerfully depicts a Corsican vendetta. A young gipsy maiden discovers that the' man she has taken an oath to remorse-! lessly slay is her lover. The struggle between love and her oath gives scope for some really wonderful acting, but in the end, despite the maiden's effort to save him, the lover pays the penalty, "The Maid of Niagara" is a truly delightful Indian drama, in which are included a number 6f thrilling scenes. One of those breezy stories of the West which are so popular with all classes is told in the ''Hidden, Mine,' 1 ! which points a good moral, while providing plenty of entertainments "In Lake Scutari" and "Spalato" the audience will be taken through some 'delightful 'scenes.- "The Pathe Gazette" and "Gaumont Graphic" are full of topical happenings in all parts of the globe and the humorous 'films are a clever lot of mirth raisers. The pro gramme will only be 1 submitted this evening and- will be replaced to-morrow by another choice selection.
