BRISBANE TRAM TROUBLE.
BOTH SIDES DETERMINED. (Press Assn.— By Telegraph.— Copyrigat.) ' BRISBANE, January 18. The members of the Tramway Employees' Union donned union badges, and the officials ordered them to remove these. They declined, and many were dismissed. Two-thirds of the employees belong to the union, and a strike is expected. • (Received January 19, 9.55 a.m.) V BRISBANE, January 19. Both sides are de'termined in connection with the tram trouble. Men on trams not "wearing badges are hooted and jeered. The company stopped running all trams after business hours last I night, and will not attempt to run them till a later hour than usual morning. A large meeting of employes condemned the refusal of permission to wear a badge. Speeches were delivered urging the men to ssfcand for freedom. Developjnents are expected to-day; ,
