(Per Press Association.) • Td/MARU, last night. Alfred Ivery, 36 years of age, iarmer at Fairview, near lie Maru, .was found dead on the road this morning. ( Last night he went . out riding ion a young horse, and was thrown and dragged some distance. When found he had been dead some hours. The inquest was adjourned till to-morrow. DUNEDIN, last night; * A man named Peter Campbell was the, victim •of an accident at which resulted in one of his hands being torn! off. He was brought- to the hospital tonight, bi^t at present the detaiis-^of the, accident are not available. ' ■
