(Special to. Herald.) DUNEDIN, this day. "Tattersalls" was in evidence during the hearing of a case in the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. A defendant was being examined as to his means, and the prosecuting counsel drew from him the statement that he regularly put Is 3d per month into a sweep for a ticket in '"Tatta." It appeared that he was in hope of, some day, being fortunate enough to» strike a lucky number, arid thus, provide .himself with means to pay off his creditors'.'
