The statement of receipts and expenditure of the Consolidated Account for the quarter ended December 31st, 1911, and 1910 /'respectively, is published in to-night's Gazette. Particulars are as under (shillings and pence omitted) : — Revenue — Balance at beginning of quarter 1911 £920,239, 1910, £265,368 j ordinary revenue £2,952,378, £2,937,823: territorial revenue, £47,752, £37,965; transferred from deposit Imperial Government and South Africa Contingent Accounts, £13,175; miscellaneous, £10,---767; totals, £3,944,313 and £3,241,149. Expenditure : Permanent appropriations, 1911, £1,314,417, 1910, £1,263,859 ; annual appropriations, £1,615,921, £1,468,349; transferred to Public Works land, £250,000, £100,000 ; balance at end of quarter, £763,973, £408,940; totals, £3,944,313 and £3,241,149.
