The following later returns are to hand : —

Westland : Electoral, Seddon, 3410 ; Michel, 3128. Continuance 3763, nolicense 2110. For prohibition, 2813; against 2970. There are some small licensing returns to come.

Bruce : Licensing, for restoration 2357, against 3123; national prohibition 3022, against 2395.

For the Palmerston seat there are 177 absent votes to come, which may cause a second ballot. Buick's absolute majority was 10. , Bay of Islands ; Electoral, Reed 2651, Wilkinson 2497. Continuance 2429, nolicense 2526; against prohibition 2045, for 2948.

Patea : Final licensing returns : For continuance 2740, no-license 3133; for national prohibition, 3611, against 2194. Nelson : For the Nelson seat a second ballot may be necessary between Atmore and Moffatt. The absent voters, about 70, will not alter the result. Atmore is about 250 behind an absolute majority. Christchurch South— ibetjveen Ell and Whiting : Figures subject to correction, and a recount is absolutely necessary, there being a doubt concerning the informal votes. There are 45 absent permits to come, and a second ballot may still be required. Thames : Rhodes 2619, Taylor 2503. Dunedin City.- Dominion vote, for 13,511, against 10,165. Taumarunui (twelve returns to come) : Looal option, continuance 2795, no-license 2223.

Hurunui : Continuance 2785, no-license 1867.

Dunedin City : Continuance 11,845, no-license 12,253.

Wellington South : For restoration 2998, against restoration 3887.

Wellington Suburbs : For restoration 2498, against 3259. Grey (final) : Gtninness 3581, Webb 2519. Continuance 3489, no-license 2502; for national prohibition 3180, against 2749.

Taumarunui: Jennings 2593, Wilson 2709. Continuance 2897, no-license 2266; for prohibition 2597, against 2549. Four small returns to come.
