The Gisborne branch of the Bank of N.eAV Zealand have to-day received the following cable fr6m their London office : — "The market is strong for the following classes of wool : Coarse crossbred—^Prices are unchanged ; medium crossbred — Prices are higher by 5 per cent, to 7£ per cent. All kinds of lambs wool, also halfbred, prices are higher by lis to 10 per cent. Current prices for North Island farmers' lotß— Coarse crosßbreds 36-40' s quality, 9d to 9sd per lb ; medium crossbreds, 44-46's, 9£d to 10Jd ; fine crossbreds, 50's 12|d to Is 2d. Current prices for South Island farmers' lots — Inferior merino common, 60-64' s, 9id to lOd per lb; superior merino super, 60-64's 12£ d to Is l^d; half or quarterbreds. 56's, average condition, Is 3id to Is 5d."
