Buyers are holding back, expecting prices to .go lower. Choice New Zealand i» quoted at 103s, Danish 109&, Siberian 98s, Australian 96«. The cheese market is TaUier iquiet, and the demand is falling off. New Zealand white is 655, colored 65«. The hemp market continues dull, and no .transactions of importance are reported. New Zealand good fair grade on spot £32, New Zealand! fair grade on spot £31 10s; fair current Manila on spot £22. June- August shipments ■, good s fair grade £22 10». New Zealand tair grade £21 per ton ; Manila, fair cur-i-nt £21 10s. The Manila output was 19,000 bales. There is no change m the cocksfoot market. The wool market is quiet, and small business is doing. Bradford '- tops are quoted; as follows : 36's (low crossbreds) Is, 40's do. Is Id, 44's (medium do.) -Is 2d, 60*8 halfbreds) Is 6|d!, 56's (qujflrterbreds) 1» 10d, 66's (merinoe) 2s 3d. The wheat market is quiet,' but steady. The oats market remains^ firm, with no change m prices. The meat shipments from River Plate during- Jflay were: — London, 91,009 mutton. 35,920 lamb; Liverpool, 164,334 and 1^,435; Hull, 14,000 and 500: Newcastle, 9912 and 357 ; Cardiff, 8500 mutton 1202 and) 907.
