TOLAGA BAY SALES
The Tolaga Bay . monthly stock sale was held at the Tolaga yards on Saturday last. Tlie yarding consisted of about 50 head of battle and 2000 sheep. The followihg prices were realised : — Shorn lambs brought from 5s 4d to 6s 3d, 400 2 and 3 tooth ewes (small) 9s 9d, 400 2 and, 4 tooth wethers 9s 6d. There was tio. demand for old ewes, and there were no buyers for cattle. Messrs Faulkner and Bruce officiated as auctioneers. Mr Bruce represented Williams and Kettle for the; first time and created a favorable irinpresßion as auctioneer. ;The auctioneers drew the attention of the public! to the matter of advertising their stock in,' time and impressed upon- ihem tho value of advertising m order to draw outside buyers. 7
