Mr Taft, referririg to an expected deficit,of one hundred million dollars, said that many business undertakings iwere only awaiting the revision of j the tariff to be puslied ahead. He believed that the nornial increase resulting from the settlement of the tariff would be ' sufficient to meet the deficit. V '
