The financial results of the tour of the British football team, will not be aA'ailable until the returns with respect to the visit to Australia come to -hand. It is understood, hoAvever, that the* profits m connection! Avith the various matches ., in the Dominion amounted to a.sum sufhV cient to meet the cost of bringing out the team, and iv addition covered! their travelling and hotel expenses m New' Zealand. The profits m regard to the* matches played m Australia are stated to have been much smaller than had been anticipated. It is probable that they will be sufficiently large to pay the extra expense of sending the team Home via Canada and leave a small balance. The delegates to tlie annual meeting of the NeAV Zealand Rugby Union resolved, that m the event of any profit accruing as a result of the tour as a whole it should' be distributed on a pro rata scale among the various affiliated unions.
