Waterside Workers' Union passed the following motion at a meeting last night: "That this meeting of the Timaru 'Waterside Workers' Union considers the conduct of Mr Justice Sim. m the recent dispute of farm laborers is not m accordance Avith the spirit 'ot the Arbitration Act, as it is understood by the mass of workers of the Dominion, and suggests his immediate removal as President of the Arbitration Court." DUNEDIN, this day. At. the Police Court this morning-May Cresswell, chaiged Avith using an instrument on Daisy EdAvards for illegal purposes, was committed for trial. The girl EdAvards, who had her sentence remitted and Avas released on Saturday, Avas on- her Avay to the Court this morning with Cumming, of the Salvation Army, when accused CressAvell and her daughter approached them and made a violent, personal, Avordy attack on EdAvards. It is stated that the most offensive language Avas used, and that A'iolent hands would have been laid on the girl, but for Cuimming's intervention.
