Tlie schooner May Howard, wliile inward bouiid.-frorii Hokianga, ran Ashore at 6 a.m. f yesterday, during a tliick fog, about half-way betwe/en the Narrow Neck and Lake , Takapiina beach. Sha ds ljnng on _a saridy bottom, with a reef on either side. The weather and sea were quite calm, and .it.. was expected that she will be floated off at higii tide last night. She nrtisb have gone ashore on the top of the tide, arid may have to be towed off. Tlie schooner May Howard, which went [ aground during the fog- yesterday, was floated last night- She did not sustain any serious damage.
