AUCKLAND, this day; v The following telegram has been received by the 'Mayor. (Mr A. M. Myers) from the Prime •' Minister at RoxborougbjV in reply to orie sent by his Worship regarding the actipirof-tlie Government .'regarding the visit of the American fleet i "In reply to your telegram the Government programme for entertaining the fleet will be considered when Ministers meet in Wellington next' week, and I will advise you of the decision when I am in ji. position to do so. The hearty co-operation of the citizens of Auckland will be .appreciated by the Government. For your information as to the number of vessels this has been asked for, and I am informed 'that fourteen are coming, though this is- not definite. I shall let you have any information I can later.— J. G. Ward."
