EASTER MANCUVRES.
MARCHING AND EMBAEKATION ORDERS BY CA?T. BEERE. ■
. Forces.— The East Coast Mounted .Rifles and Gisborne Rifles will parade at the Drillshed at .7.30 p.m. on Wednesday,, 15th April/ 1908, for the purpose of proceeding by steamer to Napier and thence by rail to Johnsonyille to take part m the Easter manoeuvres. Dress.— Full marching order. .Baggage. — All personal baggage must be shipped on, the transport not later than 7.30 p.m. on the 15th inst. • Horses. — Squadron orders will be issued to -have all horses shipped on. the s.s. Toroa by>6 p.m. on the 15th inst., and left m charge of a stable picket. Route. — Af tier inspection, ' the force (headted by the City Band), will march to the fire bel.l and. back to the wharf for embarkation. Embarkation.— The force will embark at 8.30 p.m. Disembarking.— Orders re disembarking and entraining at iSapiep will be issued on arrival at JNapier. ■ (Special to .Herald.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. In order to ensure that tio points will be given away to- either side during the Easter manoeuvres the local defence authorities are requiring press representatives .accompanying - t the . forces ; to undertake that they will report 'only on the movements as they have actually taken place, and will not divulge; any inf omation that they may, m any manner whatever acquire or receive as to the movements or manoeuvres contemplated or about to be carried out.
