MINISTERS IN OTAGO.
A REVENUE RECORD. . (Per Press Association.) NASEBY, this day. The Ministerial party travelled from Alexandra to Naseby yesterday. The Prime Minister, en' route, visited St. Bathans, and -received a deputation on the matter of .water conservation, for mining. Mr McNab inspected the Gimmerburn nursery. The party was' entertained at a social m the evening. The Prime Minister announced that though all the revenue figures were, not yet available, he could say that the ordinary revenue ,w-ould be nearer nine V .millions- ' sterling than it had, ever been before! The Premier will be accorded a public meeting at Kaitangata on Saturday night. DUNEDIN, this day. The Hon. G. Fowlds visited a number of institutions m Diinedin yosterday, including the Salvation Army Maternity Home, Carnegie Public Library, Art Gallery, Early Settlers' Hall, and St. Helen's Maternity Hospital. At the last-named institution he conferred with the matron regarding necessary alterations and improvements to bring the institution up-to-date. A conference between the Minister and representatives of local bodies was held to consider the question of drainage of Kaikorai Valley. The local bodies could not agree as to a remedy for the present state of affnirs, and the Minister indicated the probability of the appointment of a Government commissioner to decide the matter. Mr Fowlds left for Gore last evening.
