CORRESPONDENCE.
; CO-OPERATIVE MILK SUPPLY. : -£/¥ : (T- the Editor of the Herald.) \ Sir,— -I suggest to the milkmen of Gis- |. borne the above, as a "better method than that which prevails! at present. The retirement of some suppliers lately is be:cause of their inability, to. obtain labor, and consequently more slavery on the owners' part, if they wish to continue on present lines. I venture to say that not : an individual milkman , will contend that the present methods are satisfactory.. A tremendous waste, of energy is entailed by each -milkman m supplying the needs, of tne householders, and also the credit given, and the irregular hours of the suppliers. These three points could be remedied by co-operation, i.e.y a central distributing agency or agencies. I have no interest whatever m the, trade or likely to, but I know that organisation and a business system should result m placing the trade and the suppliers arid the supplied also upon a better footing. —Yours, etc., NIL NOMEN.
