Along tlie back of the course Gladsome moved up, and followed Marvel Loch into the straight, in a great race home Marvel Loch won by half a length. Time, 2.35. Doncaster Handicap: Little Toy 1, Duke of Melton 2, Noreen 3. All started but Charles Stuart. The first to move ; was Cakewalk, followed by Refrain. At ! six furlongs the order was Refrain, Air- j loch Cakewalk, Tunguu, and Mutation. Rounding the bend Airloch went to the front. Maniapoto led into the straight. Betting : 7 to 2 Soot Free, 7 to 1 Gladsome and Little Toy, 8 to 1 Ossinn Proceed, and Noreen. 12 to 1 Boabdil, 14 to 1 Marvel Loch. The first away were Refrain, Maniapoto, Proceed, and FitzGrafton. At tho nine furlongs Maniapoto was a couple of lengths clear of Noreen. Passing the furlong Maniapoto increased the lead to four lengths, but before reaching the half-mile Maniapoto dropped out. Marvel Loch was first in tho straight. At tho distance Noreen went to the front, and won by a length and a-lialf from Proceed, who beat Boabdil by a length, Gladsome fourth.
