PROBABLE REPS. v. KARAKAWHATATUTU.

The probables took tilings quietly m their match against the country players. Tlie game was played on .the small No. 2 ground, and with the unfavorable weather a creditable display was out of the question. In the first half the probables over-ran their opponents, and put together 13 points. The visitors pulled themselves together m the latter stages of the game, and their forwards, led by Sefton, Park, Dunning and Evinson, made things interesting for the cracks. In the second half both sides scored three points. Delamere played a great game, perhaps his best this season, and 1 Reynolds at full was also a success. As the match was somewhat one-sided, the probables were evidently not extended, and an effort should be made to get a team together capable of giving them a hard fight, especially if it is hoped to beat Hawke's Bay on September 10th. Mr J. J. Martin was referee.
