Mr Dawson, late Minister of Defeaice, states that he is prepared to prove General Hutton's "aggressiveness against tlie civil branch was a discordant element, but if liis relations with the commandant were unsatisfactory it was because m every interview! with hiiu General Hutton abused liis predecessors m office and tho permanent liead of the department. On one occasion he went to the extentof calling Sir John Forrest a coward, alleging he lvad said one thing verbally and written another officially. One of his differences with Generai Hutton related to expenditure. The General wanted to spend three times as much as Parliament voted. FREMANTLE, August 27. A man m a produce store has been plagued.
