(Received 8.37 a.m., August 25.) LONDON, August 24. Admiral Wirenui's report re the Novik says tliat a shell fired at the vessel exploded the boilers and magazines. Tlie crew escaped. Only the shell-riddled hull of the vessel remained.^ It is announced that owing to the damage sustained by tihe Askold, Grovosoi, and Diana the vessels will be dismantled.
