, The Huddart Parker Co.'s s.s. Westralia left for Southern ports last evening, taking the passengers whose names were given m our last issue. The Union Co.'s s.s. Herald is due from Napier at midnight, and leaves for Coast ports and Auckland at 11 to-mor-row morning. The s.s. Talune left Lyttelton this afternoon. She leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow, Napier 10 a.m. Saturday, and arrive.s here m the evening. The schooner Gisborne. (Capt. Pankow) arrived from Mercury Bay last evening, and was berthed at the wharf early this morning. She left the northern port last Thursday afternoon, and met with a strong southerly wind across the Bay of Plenty. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday she lay off East ' Cape, drifting about owing to calms. Sail was set again on Monday evening, but the vessel had 10 put into Tolaga. Bay owing to the dirty S.W. weather. From Tolaga until arrival variable winds were experienced. The cargo consists of • 48,000 ft timber for Mackrell and Colley, and 9000 ft for F. Stafford, After discharging the Gisborne returns again to Mercury Bay. The scow Ngaru arrived at Kaipara from Gisborne on Monday, and the Ururoa from Whangaroa.
