BOWLING TOURNAMENT.
(Per Press Association.) I PALMERSTON N., last night. The bowling tournament continued m magniiicent weather. The most interesting feature of the d«y's play was the dofeat of Pulmerston, who were then unbeaten, by the Whafciupoko team, of Gisborne. Palmerston won the next two games, and is leading with Napier, both teams having seven wins and a loss. Hastings and Newmarket' haw six wins and one loss. Wellington has six wins and two losses, and Gisborne five wins and two losses. There was nothing sensational m any of the games. In the Wwllingt onNew Plymouth match the bowl of the Wellington skip touclied a Wellington player's foot. New Plymouth protested, and" Wellington lost the bowl, this practically giving a win to New Plymouth. PalniOTstori's chances for the championship arc considered to be excellent. SEVENTH ROUND.
