DIVER FAILS TO RECOVER GOLD. (Per Press association.) AUCKLAND, last nignl. The attempts to recover the gold on board the wrecked steamer Elingamite proved unsuccessful. The vessel is now m 30 fathoms of water, and owing to the strength of the current the diver could not go down. -
