The vhermometer reading at 9 o clock tn s morning were as follow : — Auckland... 60 Westport ... 55 Gisborne ... 61 Greymoulh. ... 56 j Napier ... 55 Cliristcnureb. 58 N. Plymouth 57 Timaru ... 48 Wanganui... 57 Oamaru ... 48 Wellington 58 Dunedin ... 48 Blenheim... 56 Invercargill ... 46 Nelson ... 56 Bluff 49 A north-easterly gale was blowing at Auckland to-day, and the sea was heavy. In Auckland the weather was gloomy. Light north-easterly winds prevailed thence to Christclmrch, where the wind was light south-west. The weather generally was overcast, with rain at Taupo, Westport and Dunedin. The sea was heavy on the West Const and sinoolh on the Kast. ;____
