Hack Handicap: Rioter 1, Waitoa 2 ; dive., £2 Is and £3 12s 6d. High-weight Handicap : Mourner 1, Boko 2. A protest against Mourner for crossing was sustained. Divs. paid on Boko and Backwater, £4 16s 6d and £9 os. Telegraph. Handicap: Ueneral Wolfe 1, Quiltina. 2; div., £2 16s 6d. Hack Scurry: Languid 1, En Garde 2; diva., £6 9s and £3 lls. THAMES, last night. For the second day's racing of the Thames Jockey Club the weather was showery. The results were: — Midsummer Handicap: Honesty 1, Tukapa 2, The Frenchman 3. A splendid race; protest for crossing dismissed. Div., £1 9s (10a tickets). • Hurdles: Princess of Thule 1, Voltigeur 2, Hamoa 3.. Princess of Thule took the lead soon after the start, and won by twenty lengths. Div., £1 6s. Parawai Stakes -. Roeipkele 1. Div., £1 ss. . Thames Plate: Cavalry 1, Red Lancer 2. These were the only starters. Won by three-quarters of a length. Div., 17s. Second Pony: Lady Desborough 1. Div., £5 15s. County Handicap; Sector 1. Div., Handicap Steeplechase : Cronje '1, Evermore 2, Scallywag 3. Several of the horses fell, but there were no serious accidents. Time, 5.4. Div., £4 Bs. Final Handicap: The Scout 1, Hector 2, La Polish 5. Three others started. Rosiphele and Capford fell. Searle, on the former, was only slightly hurt, but R. Smith, on Capford, received concussion of 'the brain, and was conveyed ,to the hospital. The sum of £3132 was passed through the machine, making £6510 for the two days, as against £6846 for the same j meeting of last year. At the first day of the Manawatu races the results were : — Telegraph Stakes: Indian Queen 1, Faugh-a-ballagh 2; divs., £4 13s and £15 6e. Handicap Hurdles: Nea 1, Waiwera. 2, Evening Wonder 3; dis., £4 12s and £6 lls. Maoawatu Cup : TortuUa 1, Toa 2, Palaver 3; divs., £3 7s and £4 7s. Hack Hurdles: Tbkotea 1, Meerschaum 3; divs., £3 13s and £1 7s. Maiden Hack: Dexterity 1, Tyrone 2; divs., £6 15s and 12s. Granttetand Handicap : Lady's Link 1; div., £6 15s. Ladies ? Purse: Roseplot 1; div., £1 15s. Nursery Handicap: Torowai 1, Rajah 2; div?., £3 5s and 18s.
