THE WAIMATE SEIZED.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The steamer Waimate was seized here this morning under an order of the Vice-Admiralty Court, at the instanoe of the owners of the steamer Ahuriri and the Napier Fire Brigade, for satisfaction, who claim £1000 for services rendered on the occasion when the vessel was lately on fire m Napier roadstead. The Waimate was, however, soon released on the local representatives of the New Zealand Shipping Company giving a bond for the amount, pending the healing of the case, which will take place at Napier.
