In the Supreme Court this morning Jane Long was granted a decree nisi from her husband on the ground of cruelty. lit the Magistrate's Court to-day James Edwards, who. sold meat afterwards condemned .as affected with tuberculosis', w,is charged with selling meat not slaughtered m accordance with the Slaughtering aud Inspection Act, and was fined £5 and costs. OAMARU, this day. A glorious rain, the best for months, set m last night, and is general throughout the 'district. The sequel of the Roslyn tram accident of twelve months ago came before the Supreme Court this morning, when Alexaudreva Matthewson, a passenger, sued the Roslyn Tramway Company for £1500 damages. When the case was called on it was announced that- a settlement had been arrived at, the Company agreeing to judgment being entered up for £600 and costs.
