Our reporter wired from Tolago Bay this afternoon: The Mangaheia and Mahia polo teams met this morning, at Mr Reynolds'. The former were represented by J. and M. Murphy, E. Reynold's, Bruce, and Bennett, and the Mahia team were : Rangp, Sam, Te Han, and Ture. The Maliia points and combination were superior to their opponents. Their hitting also was remarkably fine. Rangi played an excellent game, and seemed able to hit at any angle and from any position. .TeHau was the only one to meet with a mishap, receiving a bad shaking from a nasty fall. Mahia won by 10 goals to Mangahea's 3. Four three-quarter spells were played. The ground was very slippery. The scorers for Mahia were: Rangi (2), Te Hau (1), Sam (2), Ture (5).
