[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, This day. A new political organisation is being formed hero under the name of the Workers Political Association, the object being to secure the returu of members favorable to the Liberal and Labor cause, and to watch over the interests of the workers. AUCKLAND, This day. The scow Buakaka, on the voyage to Mongomii, ran ashore on Rodney Point, and it is believed will become a total wreck, as the seas are breaking over her. The crew got ashore safely. William Ah Tong was remanded for eight days to Wellington. It is alleged that accused stole some naturalisation papers from a Chinaman named SToung Kee iv order that payment of the poll tax might be evaded. Bail was allowed in two sureties of £50 each. James Regan, a labor candidate, addressed the city electors. He said he was a follower of Mr Seddon on policy measures. He received a vole of thanks and confidence. There are many complaints of the depredations of stoats and weasels near the city. On Monday morning, however, one of these animals made a savage attack on an 11 year old son of Mr A. W. Chatfiold, dentist. The boy was sleeping in his father's residence, Judge's Bay, and was awakened by the fangs of one of these animals lacerating his lips. It seized him first beneath the lower lip, and its teeth met. He tried to cry out, but it fastened on to the two lips, wriggling its body so as to produce a lacerated wound. Mr Chatfield found the lad with blood streaming from his mouth. He dressed the wounds with carbolic antiseptic, which prevented any bad results from the poison Bupposed to accompany the bite of these creatures. DUNEDIN, This day. The Hon. J. G. Ward was presented with an address on his arrival by the Knights of Labor and political workers. He confirmed the statement which found currency in English papers that his friends had offered him £18,000 after he was forced into the Bankruptcy Court, which he declined. Afterwards they came forward with £60,000, and that money he had paid off.
