PREPARATION FOR A COUP D'ETAT.
(Per 'Fbisco Mail at Auckland.)
London, Dec 28.
Special despatches from Paris say that in view of the daily preparations for a coup d'etat the revolutionary Socialists have organised a Vigilance Committee in each district charged with the detection of antiRepublican movements. Counter preparations are also being made. The officers of the higher ranks of the army are reported to have been sounded on the subject of a coup d'etat, but the results are said to have been disheartening.
